PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a decision method in which the range of the nondefective product or the defective product of a running object is decided in real time by a method wherein the amount of flaws in every section detected during the movement of the object in a flaw detecting section is compared with a prescribed value. SOLUTION: The welded point of a strip 12 detected by a welded-point detector 22 is used as a tip part, and flow information on every unit length is sent to a defective-range decision computer 24 from a flaw detecting device 18 for a flaw detecting section X. Then, the number (n) of flaws per section X is compared with a prescribed judgment value. Then, the strip is shifted to a line advance direction by a portion Z as a flaw-information fecth section length, and a measurement is performed in the same manner. This operation is repeated from the tip of the strip 12. When the tip exceeds a prescribed final section, a required judgment is performed from a final cut section mL [when the number (n) becomes the prescribed value Y or lower for the first time]. That is to say, when the section mL>1, sections up to the final cut section are judged to be defective so as to be cut. When the section mL=1, all sections are judged to be nondefective. |
