PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a color filter having a high contrast and a high transmissivity without damaging the color filter pattern by setting the baking temperature Tb in formation of a protecting layer and the softening temperature Ts of transparent glass so as to have the relation shown by a specified expression. SOLUTION: A photosensitive material containing a black inorganic pigment is applied onto a glass base 1 so as to have a dry thickness of 1μm, exposed through a mask, and developed to form a stripe black matrix having a line width of, for example, 50μm. A coloring ink for a color filter CF of three colors of RGB is prepared, and a colored layer is printed in the forming part of each color between the stripes of the black matrix by screen printing. This is basked for 20 minutes at, for example, 580 deg.C by use of a belt type baking furnace to form a CF 10 having a thickness of 1μm. The baking is performed for 20 minutes at a temperature 600 deg.C of the same degree as the softening point of glass paste to provide a protecting layer 11 on the CF. The baking temperature Tb in formation of the protecting layer 11 and the softening temperature Ts of transparent glass are set so as to have the relation shown by the expression. |
