PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an odorless product good in color tone in good yield at a low production cost in the method for producing a glycoside compound having surface activities. SOLUTION: A saccharide compound is reacted with a polyol derivative, having one or two aliphatic groups represented by the formula R<1> -(OR<2> ), [R<2> denotes a 6-24C alkyl group or an alkenyl group; R<2> denotes a lower alkylene group; (t) denotes a number of 0-10], at least one hydroxyl group and further compatibility with the saccharide compound (e.g. a glycerol derivative or an oligoglycerol derivative) in the presence of an inorganic acid in an amount of 0.0001-0.1wt.% based on the saccharide compound. |
