The sleeve part (5) of the holder for receiving the lighter (1) is provided with an integral tongue (7) extending along a length side of the lighter for hooking the holder to a cigarette packet (11). An indentation (9) on the inside of the tongue ensures that the bottom end of the tongue is bent outwards when the lighter is slid into the holder. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The holder is hooked over e.g. the remaining bottom half of the cellophane wrapping (10) for the cigarette packet, or over the joining edge (12) between the packet lid and base, or over a jacket pocket.
