Pressure sensitive graphics input pen for computer system

The input pen or probe 10 is used with a graphics tablet that has different symbols that are sensed by applying contact pressure. The probe has a nib 11 that is supported in flexible bearing material 12 and has three radially positioned force sensors 14 that are selectively loaded by twisting the probe. An axial force sensor 13 is also provided. The sensor signals are used to control e.g. the colour and emphasis of the symbols.
