Novel fibre-reactive quinolin-2-one mono-, dis and tris-azo compounds of formula (I), contain >= 1 sulpho group. In (I), Q = a substituted quinolin-2-on-yl group of formula (II); R<0> = hydrogen (H), 1-4 carbon (C) alkyl, halogen, sulpho, carboxyl, aminocarbonyl, 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl or phenyl; R<10> = H, 1-4C alkyl or halogen; R = H, 1-4C alkyl, 1-4C alkoxy, halogen or sulpho; R<1> = H, 1-4C alkyl (optionally substituted by hydroxyl (OH), cyano (CN), 1-4C alkoxy, carboxyl, sulpho, sulphato or phosphato) or phenyl or naphthyl (optionally mono-, di- or tri-substituted by halogen, OH, CN, 1-4C alkoxy, 1-4C alkyl, 2-5C alkoxycarbonyl, carboxyl, sulphamoyl, sulpho and 1-4C alkylsulphonyl); E = the divalent residue of a compound of the aniline and naphthylamine series capable of coupling and diazotisation, without the amino group; v = 0-2; K = the divalent residue of a coupling component of the aniline or naphthylamine series, free from the amino group, or of a heterocyclic coupling component; n = 1 or 2; and Z = the fibre-reactive group. Also claimed is a dyeing or printing method using (I).
