Vehicle wheel balancing method

The wheel balancing method involves using balancing weights which are attached to the vehicle wheel, in dependence on the position and magnitude of the detected imbalance. The radius and compensation plane for attachment of the balancing weight are provided by a sensor arm (2), with the size of the balancing weight calculated via an electronic device. The sensor arm has a pair of attached tension cords (4,6), with mechanical storage of the balancing position, with a mechanical stop only allowing movement of the sensor arm as far as the balancing position.
