The vacuum cleaner has a reflection plate of a predetermined shape held in a lower housing that also contains a brush with a suction pipe. There is a window in the housing in the front region of the reflection plate to illuminate the front region after the light is reflected by the plate. The brush is between the plate and the window. The lamp is a tubular filament bulb. There are two terminals of predetermined shape with leads and mounting lugs. They project into a region formed by the window and the lugs and the bulb is held between them.
