<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system which can automatically light a luminaire by a human body detecting sensor and automatically extinguishes the luminaire without transmitting an extinguishing signal from a remote control transmitter. SOLUTION: This lighting system comprises a luminaire 1 which is provided with a receiving part 1a of signals transmitted by a radio medium and whose lighting is controlled by the received signals, a human body detection sensor 2a, and a remote control transmitter 2 which transmits lighting signals to the luminaire 1 based on the human body detecting signals through a radio medium. Moreover, a lighting retaining timer 1b which start operating as soon as the luminaire 1 is turned on and times a prescribed set lighting retaining time is installed in the luminaire 1 and at the same time a lighting retaining signal which re-sets the lighting retaining timer 1b is transmitted through a radio medium from the remote control transmitter 2 whenever a human body is detected within a prescribed time just before lighting at every prescribed time interval shorter than the set lighting retaining time and after the lighting of the luminaire 1, so that the lighting retaining timer 1b completes to time the set lighting retaining time and the luminaire 1 is extinguished.</p> |
