<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent elution of metallic ions, such as Ni or Cr from a dental correcting instrument, that may cause an allergy to metals, so as to allow even a patient who is allergic to metals to have orthodontia with peace of mind by coating the device with titanium. SOLUTION: This instrument comprises a titanium-coated dental correcting strap, a keeping device (tube, etc.), a wire, a face bow, and a lingual retainer. After the dental correcting strap is joined to the keeping device by welding, it is coated with titanium. The wire, the face bow, and the lingual retainer are directly (or after treatments if they are heat treated) coated with titanium.</p> |
