PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert member provided with the flexible diaphragm part of a pump having a surface area with no protrusion part positioned in a pump in a manner to make direct contact with a material to be fed by a pump. SOLUTION: An insert member 10 consists of a first and second disc-form parts 16 and 18. The second disc-form part has one surface secured on a first surface 20 of the first disc-form part and disposed approximately at the central part of the first surface. A plurality of apertures 28 are formed through the first disc-form part. A plurality of the apertures are provided with a given opening area on a whole and by receiving a rubber compound 32, the binding strength of the insert member to the flexible diaphragm part 12 is improved. Since the insert member is secured at an elongated piston rod-form member reciprocatively disposed in a pump, a threaded opening part 32 is formed in the second disc-form part. |
