PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure superior alkali developability and ink receptivity by coating the top of a substrate with a photosensitive resin compsn. contg. an alkali- soluble or -swellable polymer having a specified group in a side chain and a negative type photosensitive compd. SOLUTION: The top of a substrate is coated with a photosensitive resin compsn. contg. an alkali-soluble or -swellable polymer having -CONHCOO- in a side and a negative type photosensitive compd. to obtain the objective photosensitive planographic printing plate. A photosensitive diazonium compd. or a combination of a compd. having an ethylenic unsatd. group with a photopolymn. initiator is used as the negative type photosensitive compd. A (meth) acrylate having -CONHCOOR1- (R1 is alkyl which may have a substituent, etc.) may be used as a low molecular compd. having -COONHCOO- and a polymerizable unsatd. group.
