PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the generator including a ring mixer by which the 10-th or 11-th harmonic of a local oscillation signal is eliminated, which provides an effect when an input signal whose frequency is a radio frequency and an output signal having an intermediate frequency IF are in existence in a narrow frequency band. SOLUTION: This generator is provided with a ring mixer 17 consisting of double balance field effect transistors(TRs) 12, 13, 14, 15, a 1st coupler 18 acting like a phase separation device of an input signal (IRF), and a 2nd coupler 19 acting like a phase combination device of output signals (OIF), the coupling device has isolated elements and symmetrically equipped so that the impedance at 1st input terminal pairs of the mixer and the impedance at 1st output terminal pairs of the mixer are identical, an input signal (ILO) with a 2nd frequency (LO) from a local oscillator is mixed to the input signal (IRF) with the 1st frequency RF to generate the output signal (OIF) with the intermediate frequency IF from which harmonics of the 2nd frequency (LO) are eliminate at a very high degree (1/10 or below).
