PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display charged amount charged by a battery means of a rechargeable electronic timepiece simply and inexpensively by movement or growth of a character on a liquid crystal display screen. SOLUTION: In a rechargeable electronic timepiece for charging energy generated by a generating means 1 in a secondary battery 2 and taking it as a drive source, charged amount of the secondary battery 2 can be read out from a clock dial from change of feature of an optional character according to the charged amount of the secondary battery 2. Interest is added to the rechargeable electronic watch by giving the change of feature of the optional character, which may increase user's consciousness to charging and prevent the function of the timepiece from being stopped. |
