PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a housing assembly which has its electric components strong in structure and can form a proper sealing interface between the electric component and housing. SOLUTION: A housing assembly is equipped with a housing 10 and an electric component 40 installed inside the housing 10. The electric component 40 has an over-molding 41 of dielectric material formed around at least one electric contact 46, wherein the over-molding 41 is formed in a single piece with the housing 10 through an insert molding process, and at the periphery of the over- molding 41 at least one sealing recess 44 is provided to receive the material 14 of the housing 10.
