PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetostatic wave device with its excited frequency shifted to the lower frequency side. SOLUTION: About a magnetostatic wave device formed by a magnetic thin film 2, transducer 4, and a bias magnetic field, the magnetic thin film 2 is formed on the substrate 1 off angled one to five degrees from 110} face by liquid phase epitaxial method. Provided thatθ1 is an angle between a longer side direction 8 of the transducer 4 and a crystal <001> direction of magnetic thin film 2 andθ2 is an angle between a vertical direction 6 against longer side direction 8 of the transducer 4 and a supplied magnetic field direction 3 of the bias magnetic field, the magnetostatic wave device is formed so that theθ1 +θ2 is in the range of 20 deg.<=|θ1 +θ2|<=35 deg., and rotating the magnetostatic wave device 2 around the strip line on the transducer 4 by an angle between the horizontal direction and supplied magnetic field direction 3 of the bias magnetic field so thatθ3 is in the range of|θ3|<=75 deg..
