PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ignition coil obtaining the maximum iron core sectional shape, by effectively using a sectional area capable of setting an iron core. SOLUTION: An ignition coil for an internal combustion engine consists of the following; a secondary coil 22 wound around a secondary bobbin, a primary coil 21 wound around a primary bobbin, and a central iron core 23 through which magnetic flux induced by the primary coil 21 passes. The central iron core 23 is arranged in a central iron core inserting part 233 which forms the primary coil 21 or the secondary coil 22. Laminating width of the central iron core 23 is made to form fine steps and occupies almost 90% of a circular sectional area capable of setting the iron core in the central iron core inserting part 233 which is arranged for inserting the central iron core 23.
|
