<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power gas-blast circuit breaker of a simple structure which makes it possible to reduce the installation area of the breaker and lower the overall height of the entire system. SOLUTION: This gas-blast circuit breaker is provided with a vertical tank 2 filled with an insulating gas inside, an arc extinguishing tank 1 arranged inside this vertical tank 2 to form a three-phase arc extinguishing chamber and an operating mechanism 3 for driving the arc extinguishing mechanism inside this arc extinguishing tank 1. The system is structured in such a manner that the arc extinguishing mechanism above is driven by the operating mechanism 3 via a link mechanism 4 positioned between the operating mechanism 3 and the arc extinguishing mechanism. In this case, the link mechanism 4 is structured in such a way as to be arranged inside the vertical tank 2 and at the lower part, and to be contained inside a base plate 9 supporting the arc extinguishing tank 1.</p> |
