PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric converter in which the manufacturing cost is reduced and the manufacture and use thereof is easy. SOLUTION: In a photoelectric converter, a groove 12 is formed in its main side surface, and the converter is provided with a fiber carrier 10 in which an optical fiber 30 is fitted to the groove 12, and a reflecting surface 14 that has been arranged so as to adjacent to the one end of the groove 12 so that light can be incident or outgoing with regard to the optical fiber 30. An optical element 35 is fixedly fitted to the main side surface of an optical element carrier 20. Fitting pads 15, 25 that have been arranged on the main side surfaces of the carriers 10, 20 are fixedly stuck together, so that the optical element 35 is optically matched to the reflecting surface 14, and also the light rays being incident or outgoing with regard to the optical fiber 30 are directed toward the output/input side of the optical element 35. The carriers 10, 20 are formed with a material having a similar thermal expansion coefficient such as silicon or ceramics. |
