PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quantifying method of sugar alcohol in which operations are simplified. SOLUTION: In this method, (1) a protein insolubilizing agent which forms an oleaginous precipitate is added to a sample containing sugar alcohol, protein, and saccaride, and protein settles out as an oleaginous precipitate to obtain a supernatant fluid. Next to this, the supernatant fluid is passed through a column filled with a protein insolubilizing agent absorbing resin and basic anion- exchange resin to precipitate protein as a water insolubilizing substance. Or (2) a protein precipitating agent and protein denaturalizing agent are added to precipitate protein as a water insolubilizing substance, and the obtained precipitation fluid is passed through a column filled with a basic anion-exchange resin. Next to this, sugar alcohol in the obtained passed fluids is quantified. Or, to quantify 1,5-anhydroglycitol in blood, a large number of samples are injected in turn into a device provided with a column for removing interfering substances through which a fluid is passed, an injector, and a biosensor. |
