PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lessen the diffusion resistance and the reaction resistance of a fuel cell. SOLUTION: A fuel electrode 2 and solid electrolyte 1 are integrally burnt and an air electrode 3 is fitted thereto so as to manufacture a flat solid electrolyte type electrochemical cell. At the formation of fuel electrode 2 a substance disappearing at a high temperature is added as a pore formation agent into fuel electrode 2 material, and the pore formation agent is caused to disappear in burning so as to form the fuel electrode 2 formed into porous.
