PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a power-supply backup device which improves the economical efficiency of a battery and which improves the easiness and the functionality of an operation by a structure wherein the power-supply backup device is provided with the voltage detection circuit of an input power supply as well as with a backup battery and its changeover circuit and with a timer circuit and the backup device is interposed between a game machine body and an AC adaptor so as to be coupled as one unit. SOLUTION: A battery power supply is provided inside a power-supply backup device 3, a voltage detection circuit and a power-supply changeover circuit are installed, the power-supply backup device is changed over to the battery power supply simultaneously with the vanishment of an AC input voltage, and the changed-over battery power supply is stopped after a definite time by using a timer circuit. In addition, a push-button switch 5 for time extension is installed at the timer circuit so as to be capable of extending the time. In addition, a backup-state display LED 6 and a charging-state display LED 7 are provided so as to make an operation easy. Then, the power-supply backup device 3 and a game machine body 1 are coupled by insertion and coupling parts 14, 11 and connectors 8, 9 on both sides, and they are connected to an AC adaptor 2 by both connectors 10, 12. |
