<p>The invention concerns a dumbbell-like device for stimulating the locomotor system and the musculature, in particular in the arm and shoulder regions. According to the invention, the device comprises a handle (10) and at least one mass element connected thereto. Under the effect of gravity, the mass of the dumbbell-like device generates a basic tone in the muscle fibres. The actual stimulation of the musculature is brought about by an oscillating movement between the handle (10) and the mass element (12) which is generated by a drive mechanism (14) integrated in the device.</p> |
