Disc change mechanism for CD player

The disc changer includes a magazine in which discs are stored on a carrier (56). The carrier is selectively engaged by a gripper (32) and is moved linearly by a transfer unit (31) and is transferred onto the drive spigot (12) of the CD player (10) turntable. The turntable is mounted on a hinged structure (14) that allows the position to be adjusted to align with the disc carriers. A drive unit (34,35) of the transfer unit handles the disc selection process.
