PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guiding information system where guiding information such as route information, map information, store and facility information, etc., can be utilized inexpensively by using a device that is small and easy to carry. SOLUTION: A map information center 10, map display devices 11 and 12 are severally connected to a public line network 13, the devices 11 and 12 notify the center 10 of type information which designates the types of guiding information displayed and location information which designates the locations of the objects of the guiding information through the network 13. The center 10 sends guiding information which corresponds to the type information and the location information which are notified from the devices 11 and 12 to the devices 11 and 12 through the network 13, and the devices 11 and 12 show the guiding information sent. |
