The multimedia program module has a first unit (111) to produce a first set of events determined from interactions with the user, a second unit (112) to produce a second set of events relating to the instants of presentation of the static components of the document, and a third unit (113) to produce a third set of events relating to the instants of presentation of the dynamic components of the document. The program module has a processing system (120) to process events from all three sources in order to schedule and synchronise the events to trigger presentation of the static and dynamic components of the multimedia in the correct order and at the correct time.
