A game character control method and apparatus according to abnormal access termination, and a recording medium thereof are provided for a client to control the user action of a user character with artificial intelligence for a predetermined time when abnormal access termination occurs, thereby minimizing the death penalty of the user character. A user connects to an online game server(2) through each user client(1a-1n) and delivers a command manipulating a user character to the online game server. The online game server provides the simultaneous connection of the numerous users through a network(3) and provides an online game administering a virtual world. The online game server comprises a game operation module(11) operating the online game, controlling the on-line game, an artificial intelligence module(13) for controlling the use action of the game character according to the abnormal access termination, and a communications module(15) connected to the network.
