PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject food having a freshly-boiled texture in a short time without boiling in hot water by placing (semi) dried pasta or noodle having hollow, grooved or irregular-surfaced form together with water in a heat- resistant vessel and heating with microwave. SOLUTION: (Semi) dried pasta or noodle 1 having hollow, grooved or irregular-surfaced form is placed in a heat-resistant vessel 2 together with water of an amount necessary for the hydration of the pasta, etc., and heated by microwave heating. Water is boiled and the pasta or noodle 1 is elongated by the absorption of water, bent at the opposite walls 2a, 2a of the vessel 2 and extended to the side of the vessel following the curvature of the walls 2b, 2b. Tough palatability and taste of freshly-boiled noodle can be attained by this process without causing the mutual adhesion of the strings 1 of the pasta or noodle. |
