WIRE GRID POLARIZER AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

A nano wire grid polarizer and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to increase an adhesive property and scratch resistance of the wire grid by coating a protective layer with the predetermined thickness in a nano wire grid polarizer. A backlight unit is comprised of a lamp unit and an optical sheet(41). The lamp unit is comprised of an optical source(36), a lamp reflector(37), a light guide plate(38), and a reflective plate(39). The optical sheet includes a diffusion sheet diffusing the light, a collecting sheet collecting the light, or a diffusion-collection integrated sheet. The light generated in the optical source is reflected in the reflective plate and the lamp reflector and transmits the light to a liquid crystal panel(34) through a light guide plate. An upper polarizer(33) and a lower polarizer(35) are arranged in the upper and lower parts of the liquid panel.
