PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device capable of alleviating a load applied to a step-up switching element of a DC-DC converter, of reducing probability that short-circuit failures are generated, and of continuing driving a motor even when the step-up switching element is in a short-circuit failure.SOLUTION: A converter 10 of an electric automobile 100 has three transistors T1, T2, and T3. The controller 8, in a case where no short-circuit failures are detected in both the first switching element T1 and the third switching element T3, performs control to synchronize both the first and third switching elements T1 and T3 to step up a voltage of a battery 9, and outputs a current at the step-up voltage to an inverter 19. The controller 8, in a case where short-circuit failures are detected in at least one of the first and third switching elements T1 and T3, opens the second switching element T2 to output a current at a voltage level of the battery 9 to the inverter 19.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
