CATALYST COMPONENT FOR OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION, CATALYST FOR OLEFIN POLYMERIZATION, AND PROCESS FOR PREPARING POLYOLEFIN

A catalyst component for olefin polymerization, comprising a transition metal compound represented by the general formula (1): LmCpnMX<1>X<2> (wherein M represents a group 4 transition metal element of the periodic table; Cp represents a cyclopentadienyl, substituted cyclopentadienyl, indenyl, substituted indenyl, fluorenyl, or substituted fluorenyl group, and the other symbols are as defined in the specification); a catalyst for olefin polymerization comprising the catalyst component as a transition metal component; and a process for preparing polyolefins by using the catalyst. The process can provide, at high activity, polyolefins which have broad molecular weight distribution, excellent moldability, and a very low low-molecular-weight component content.
