Aqueous dispersion products are disclosed. The production thereof involves polymerising an ethylenically unsaturated monomer or a mixture of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in an aqueous solution of an at least partially protonized epoxy-amino adduct. The invention is characterized in that the epoxy-amino adduct is obtained by reacting (A) a glycidyl ether of a polyphenol containing a statistical average of at least one epoxy group in the molecule, or a mixture of such gliycidyl ethers, (B) a polyglycidyl ether of a polyol containing a statistical average of more than 1.0 epoxy group, or a mixture of such polyglycidyl ethers, and (C) a bond containing a primary amino group, or a mixture of such bonds, while components (A) and (B) are set in according to an equivalence ratio of 1.0: 0.5 to 1.0: 8.0 and, in epoxy-equivalent groups of the (A) and (B) components, 0.3 to 0.7 mol of the component (C).
