A pulley belt runs over a wheel (1) supported by a bracket (5) attached at a first end by a bolt to a fixed point (18), and which can be moved back and forth to effect belt tensioning. The second wider end of the bracket has a locking bolthole. The widened centre section is raised and stands proud of the rest of the flange and has an elongated closed groove (16) for the pulley wheel bearing and lock nut (6). The second end of the flange has a groove (13) for a locking nut (14) near the locking bolt hole (19).
