<p>PURPOSE:To reduce friction resistance of a double pipe which consists of an outer pipe and an inner pipe and drive or tunnel the double pipe. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer 3 is installed between an inner pipe 1 and an outer pipe 2 where a through hole 4 is formed longitudinally on the intermediate layer 3. Prior to shield tunneling, the inner pipe 1 of a double A which has been already shielded is connected to an inner pipe of a new double pipe A. A joint member 7 is fixed with the through hole 4 and further connected to the outer pipe 2 to which a check valve 6 has been installed in advance. After having interconnected the double pipes A, a lubricant injection member 9 is inserted into the through hole 4. By moving this injection member 9 properly, lubricant is injected into a clearance 11 formed between the check valve 6 and the outer pipe 2 and a ground 10. While the lubricant is being injected, the double pipes A are shield-tunneled. After a pipeline is laid out with the double pipes A, a back-fill material filling member 12 is inserted in the through hole 4 so that the back-fill material may be filled up in the clearance 11 formed between the check valve 6 and the outer pipe 2 and the ground 10 by means of this filling member 10.</p> |
