A change-over apparatus for use in conjunction with a cooling system of an internal combustion engine having an engine (12) and radiator (14) and having an upper hose (18) between the radiator (14) and the engine (12) which has been cut to form an upper radiator hose section (30) and an upper engine hose section (32) wherein a change-over apparatus (34) comprising at least one tubular body having first and second tube bodies having end openings, with the end opening (36) for connection to said upper radiator hose section (30), said second end opening (38) for connection to said upper engine hose section (32), a liquid ingress opening (48) spaced from said first end opening, a liquid egress opening (50) spaced from said second end opening, and, optionally, a flow regulating means (52) placed between said liquid ingress opening (48) and said liquid egress opening (50).
