<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent complete discharge of a battery by a method wherein when an auxiliary power is not driven for a specified period in succession stating from a time when drive of the auxiliary power is stopped by a first or a second stop control means and an assist amount is reduced to zero, setting to an energy saving mode is executed. SOLUTION: A control device for a motor assisted bicycle comprises a control means 6A to calculate an assist amount according to a pedal pedaling force for the bicycle and drive an auxiliary power based on the assist amount; a first stop control means 6B to motor the occurrence of the trouble of the bicycle and stop the auxiliary power when the trouble is detected; and a second stop control means 6C to calculate a remaining amount of the battery of the auxiliary power and stop drive of the auxiliary power when a remaining amount of the battery is decreased to a value lower than a specified amount. Besides, the control means 6A is provided with an energy saving setting function 6D to effect setting to an energy saving mode when the auxiliary power is not driven during a specified period in succession starting from a time when drive of the auxiliary power is stopped by the first or second stop control means 6B or 6C or a time when an assist amount is reduced to zero.</p> |
