PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize the reception confirmation of a transmitted request and when an answer is to be transmitted at the source of transmission by replying the time to return the correspondent answer to the transmission source when the answer request is received on the side of reception. SOLUTION: When data containing the answer request are received from a transmission side FAX 100, a center 200 on the reception side determines a person in charge of answering through an answer charge allocation part 210, the answer is set to an answer managing table 250 while adding a prescribed answer time limit through an answer time limit setting part 230, and the data and the answer time limit are reported from an answer request control part 270 to the person in charge. Next, when the reply with an available answer time limit is received from the person in charge, the answer time limit in the answer managing table 250 is reset and reported to the transmission side FAX 100. When the answer time limit is reported, the transmission side FAX 100 sets the answer time limit to a transmission/reception managing table 110. Thus, the transmission side FAX 100 can recognize the reception confirmation of the transmitted request and the time limit of the answer. |
