PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing device for metal which can safely and stably remove the stuck metal without using gaseous oxygen. SOLUTION: Laser beam having 0.5-3.0μm wave length is generated with a laser beam generator 1 and irradiates the metal 7 stuck to a tundish 6 through a beam transferring part 2. The beam transferring part 2 is constituted by providing an optical fiber and a condensed lens and the metal 7 is melted with the condensed beam energy through this condensed lens and further, flowed out. At the time of irradiating with the laser beam, gaseous nitrogen supplied through the beam transferring part 2 is discharged near the condensed lens to prevent the contamination of the irradiating surface of the laser beam caused by dust. In such a constitution, the melting of the metal can safely and stably be executed with the simple constitution.
