LASER BEAM TYPE SURFACE DETECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser beam type surface detector capable of accurately detecting the existence of a work material by eliminating the detection error due to the difference in reflectivity of individual work surfaces. SOLUTION: When detecting the reflection surface of works based on signals from the reflection beam 1b from the work of a laser beam 1a, the output of an LD driver 7 is switched based on the reflected beam 1b by the work 5 for calibration. For the work 5 for calibration, one that has the same reflectivity of the laser beam at the reflection plane 5 as that of work to be fabricated is used.
