PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficient discharging characteristic at a low temperature and the cycle characteristic by binding the hydrogen storage specified alloy powder to a surface of a conductive support with a small quantity of binder so as to form an electrode. SOLUTION: Hydrogen storage specified alloy powder is obtained by substituting Pr for La at 10-100weight% of LaNi5 and while substituting Co for Ni at 8-24atom%. Substitution ratio of Pr for La at 20-70weight% is desirable. Substitution ratio of Co for Ni at 10atom% or more and less than 14atom% is desirable. In the case of the substitution ratio of Pr at 10weight% or less of La, improvement of the low temperature characteristic at -15 degree and the improvement of the cycle characteristic as an electrode is insufficient. In the case of the substitution ratio of Co for Ni at 8atom% or less, the cycle lifetime is insufficient. |
