摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a large-sized refractory block which requires little time for drying and has excellent properties of construction and durability by a method wherein a specific unshaped refractory composition is filled between shaped refractory products disposed with a space left between and is dried so that the block be formed integrally. SOLUTION: An unshaped refractory composition for filling is constituted of refractory aggregate, refractory powder, aluminum alloy powder, a dispersant and water. The refractory aggregate is a well-known material such as alumina or bauxite. As for the refractory powder, ultra-fine particles of which the average particle size is 30μm or less is used so that an excellent bonding part can be formed. Besides, the Al alloy powder is added to the unshaped refractory composition for filling, in order to prevent explosion in the case of rapid drying after execution of construction. For the Al alloy powder, the quantity of H2 gas to be produced and the timing of this production can be regulated by regulating the constitution of the alloy and the grain size of the powder. Since a furnace structure being free from the explosion or cracking even when quick drying by heating is conducted can be formed in this way, sharp reduction of a term of construction is enabled.
