摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide double-fiber optical fibers having excellent bending resistance, an amplifier of a photoelectric switch which is reduced in an installation space and contributes to an improvement in the degree of freedom of a layout by connecting the optical fibers, the photoelectric switch and its mounting structure. SOLUTION: The amplifier unit 1 is freely attachably and detachably mounted at a DIN rail 52 and has the insertion ports for the optical fibers 14 on the longitudinally long rectangular surface of its front surface. The optical fibers 14 have 218 pieces of cores which consist of, for example, acrylic plastic and have a fiber diameter of 66&mu;m, clads which consist of fluoroplastic and pack the spacings among these cores and coating materials which coat the entire part of these clads at about 0.6mm thickness. The optical fibers 14 are bendable at a radius approximately equal to their own diameter and the rate of lowering in the photodetecting level in the bent part is <=10%. The optical fibers 14 are usable at a small radius of curvature in the parts emerging from the insertion ports by drawing around the fibers, for example, upward.
