摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a basic cycle term in the case of a synchronous transfer mode completely without affecting the throughput of a main signal in the case of an asynchronous transfer mode by transferring a control signal inside a communication network through a path different from that of the main signal. SOLUTION: Plural signal input parts 101, switch part 102 and plural signal output parts 103 are connected by a switch information/control information bus (bus) 109. Assuming that the interruption of inputting is detected by a detecting means 104, the signal input part 101 retrieves the signal output part 103 on the path of the interrupted communication signal while referring to a partial switch information memory 106 through a control information transfer means 105 and transfers the input interruption information through the bus 109 to the signal output part 103. Thus, the control signal is directly transferred from the signal input part 101 to the signal output part 103 and in the case of the synchronous transfer mode, the basic cycle term can be shortened completely without affecting the throughput of the main signal in the case of the asynchronous transfer mode.
