RETRACTOR FOR OPERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide access to a cavity in the breast without giving a wide range of injury to a patient. SOLUTION: A device 10 including this retractor is constituted of an almost flat base 12 with an opening to be overlapped on the operation and at least one retractor blade 18 to be slidably mounted on the base 12. The base 12 is laid on a patient so that the opening is overlapped on the operation site. The operation site is percutaneously accessed and disturbing tissue is engaged with the retractor blade 18 to be drawn back. A surgical instrument is provided so as to engage with the base 12 and operable at the operation site through the opening of the base 12, and the surgical operation is performed by a surgical instrument through the opening on the base 12.
