<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device capable of easily switching to fast-forwarding and reduced in an operational amount and effective for miniaturizing the device and reduced in power consumption and costs. SOLUTION: During a recording/ reproducing operation, FW(forward) or RV(reverse) reel shafts 14 and 16 are rotated via a capstan gear 4, FW or RV switching gears 6 and 7 and reel gears 15 and 17 and, during a fast- forwarding/rewinding operation which is a high-speed feeding operation, or during a queueing/reviewing operation, a gear driving system is switched by moving a PF switching plate and the rotation of the FW or RV reel shafts 14 and 16 are rotary-driven via the capstan 4, the FW or RV switching gears 6 and 7 and FW or RV intermediate gears 9 and 10 or FW or RV idle gears 11 and 12 and reel gears 14a and 16a.</p> |
