The coolant pump has an impeller (5) that is arranged on a pump shaft (4), and a spring-loaded ring piston (7) that is axially guided by a return spring (6). A control slide (12) is fixedly arranged in pump interior portion (9) and secured to ring piston. A pilot valve (20) is arranged at impeller-side end of pump shaft to close the valve piston (24) centrally in the pump shaft arranged in the shaft bore (25), and to open the cross bores (26) in pressure chamber (18). |
