PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a controlling device for a hybrid vehicle which enables a motor to accurately generate auxiliary driving force for propelling the vehicle or electric power in compliance with the accelerating or decelerating state of the vehicle or the charging state of a storage battery while keeping smooth the running condition of the vehicle and the fluctuation of the operating condition of the motor. SOLUTION: The accelerating or decelerating state of a vehicle is detected based on the changing speed ΔθTh of the opening of the throttle valve or car speed VCAR of an engine 1 for propelling a vehicle. Then, a fuzzy reasoning based on the fuzzy rule and membership function obtained from the detected accelerating or decelerating state determines the operating state of a motor 2. Based on the operating state so determined, the motor 2 generates auxiliary driving force to supplement the output of the engine 1 and charges a battery 5 by its regenerative operation. |
