PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to respectively independently execute normal control and effect impartation of pitch bends, etc., to plural pieces of chorus melody data without increasing the number of assurances of MIDI channels. SOLUTION: If the melody line data of respective parts are chord sounds, the respective parts comprise pitch differences of about the same degrees and, therefore, a MIDI message forming means sets reference pitches by each of the respective parts and determines the pitch differences between the same and the pitches of the respective melody line data, thereby converting the pitches of the melody line data in the respective parts to the data relating to the pitch differences between the reference pitches set with each of the respective parts. The pitch difference data converted in such a manner are further so converted as to attain the pitch data within the prescribed pitch region block, by which the prescribed MIDI messages corresponding to each of the respective parts are formed. A control means receives the formed MIDI messages, imparts the effects, normal, etc., varying with each of the respective parts, converts these imparted MIDI messages to the original melody line data and reproduces the melody line data. |
