METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STACKING OF FLEXIBLE LAMINA ON ALIGNMENT PIN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To position and stack a felxible lamina strictly by a method wherein the flexible lamina is stacked up on an alignment pin. SOLUTION: An apparatus comprises a stack-up/removal mechanism 100 which is referred to also as an alignment station, a pin stacking assembly 120 and a levitation stacking head assembly 130. The stacking/removal mechanism 10 fine adjusts the alignment operation of the pin stacking assembly 120 together with the levitation head assembly 130. The pin stacking assembly 120 can be suitably removed automatically. Thereby, the pin stacking assembly 120 can be fed continuously so as to deal with a continuous production operation. The levitation head assembly 130 is used suitably to transfer a lamina and (or) other sheet materials such as a seprator plate, a Mylar separator sheet and the like to the alignment station.
