The tool has a base body (2) and at least one active body (3) movable with respect to the base body. Several hair handling elements (5) are arranged on the active body (3). Driving means (15) are provided to move the active body in at least two dimensions. The driving means are designed in such a way that the active body or the hair handling elements vibrate with a frequency from 25 to 130 Hz, preferably with a frequency from 50 to 70 Hz.
